How you'll make impact

Own Airwallex’s banking partnerships strategy across the UK and Europe, supporting the growth of our global collections and payouts network.

• Build and manage strategic relationships with banking partners, financial institutions, payment networks, local acquirers and payment methods, acting as the main point of contact between Airwallex and our partners.

• Identify and evaluate partnership opportunities as Airwallex expands into new geographies, using market research and competitive insight to strengthen our position as a payments leader.

• Coordinate due diligence and project-manage onboarding with prospective partners, working across Product, Legal, Compliance, Finance and Commercial teams to move complex opportunities forward.

• Develop your profile as an industry thought leader while working with banking infrastructure that supports Airwallex’s growth across the UK and Europe.

What we're looking for

Essentials

• 10+ years’ experience working with financial institutions, global and regional banks, and payment networks.

• Experience building and maintaining relationships with financial institutions in the UK and Europe while working at a payment institution or EMI.

• A strong network of banking partners, financial institutions and payment networks.

• Strong understanding of compliance and onboarding requirements for global and regional banks.

• Experience working with cross-functional teams, including Product, Legal, Compliance, Finance and Commercial.

• International experience working across multiple markets or managing cross-border relationships.

• A proven track record of working with technology-led businesses in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

• Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to connect with people at all levels and communicate project expectations clearly.

• Strong negotiation skills, with the judgment to navigate complex commercial discussions and secure the best outcomes for Airwallex.

• Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to build and maintain trusted relationships.

• A self-starter who thinks creatively and works effectively through ambiguity and constant change.

• A collaborative team player who can work cohesively across the organisation and inspire a shared vision.

This team structures deals with financial institutions, fintech platforms, and enterprise software companies that embed Airwallex's infrastructure into their own products: commercially complex work that accelerates growth, opens new markets, and extends distribution reach.
