About Airwallex
Airwallex is the AI-native financial operating system for a real-time, intelligent economy. More than 675,000 businesses, including McLaren Racing, Qantas, SHEIN, and TikTok, use us, directly or through our platform partners, to run their financial operations or build and monetize financial products of their own.
We started in Melbourne in 2015 to build the infrastructure global commerce runs on. We're the regulated backbone behind global payments: not by accident, but by design. A decade plus, 85+ licenses, and a financial infrastructure spanning North America, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia-Pacific.
We're co-headquartered in San Francisco and Singapore, with more than 2,700 people across 27 offices. We hire builders with founder-level energy, people who move fast with good judgment, dig in with real curiosity, and make calls from first principles rather than waiting to be told what to do. Read our operating principles to see it in full.
How you'll make impact
As Senior Product Manager, you’ll lead the Identity Verification and KYC products that power trusted onboarding for businesses globally. You’ll define the roadmap for AI-driven verification, spanning evidence collection, orchestration, decisioning, review workflows and straight-through processing optimisation.
Build intelligent identity systems that combine vendor integrations, in-house models, AI-assisted review and workflow automation to improve conversion, risk outcomes and operational efficiency.
Create verification experiences that feel fast and simple for customers while handling complex regulatory, fraud and geographic requirements behind the scenes.
Evolve Airwallex’s identity provider ecosystem, optimising coverage, reliability, performance, cost and quality across global markets.
Identify opportunities to turn identity verification into a differentiated product advantage and future revenue driver.
Partner closely with Engineering, Security, Risk, Compliance, Operations and Design to take problems from discovery through delivery, rollout and iteration.
You’ll work from our Singapore office five days a week.
What we're looking for
Essentials
6+ years of Product Management experience, including leading complex, cross-functional initiatives for platform, infrastructure or B2B products at scale.
Experience building and shipping customer- or developer-facing capabilities in payments, financial services, SaaS platforms, security or infrastructure.
Strong technical fluency across APIs, services, data pipelines and observability, with the ability to go deep with Engineering on architecture and trade-offs.
Experience working in regulated or risk-sensitive environments such as fintech, payments, banking or a similar policy-heavy domain.
A data-driven approach, including defining metrics, using SQL or dashboards for self-serve analysis, and combining qualitative and quantitative insights to make decisions.
Strong cross-functional leadership skills, with experience leading complex, multi-team initiatives across Product, Engineering, Security, Risk, Compliance, Operations and Design.
Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to simplify complex technical and risk concepts for engineers, executives and external partners.
A track record of owning problems end to end, from problem framing and discovery through design, delivery, rollout and iteration.
Preferred
Experience with identity, access or security platforms, including IAM, authentication, authorisation, policy engines, audit or logging.
Experience with large-scale notification systems such as email, SMS or push.
A background in fraud prevention, security engineering or risk, especially account security, abuse prevention or incident response.
Experience building platform capabilities such as APIs, services, SDKs or shared components for multiple product teams, including versioning, SLAs and documentation.
Familiarity with SMS and email infrastructure, abuse vectors such as SMS pumping and phishing, and mitigations that balance cost, deliverability and security.
Experience operating at global scale and shipping features across multiple countries and regulatory regimes.
You'll thrive here if
You're comfortable owning the roadmap yourself.
You own the outcome and you don't wait for permission to fix what's broken.
You're comfortable making decisions with incomplete information and moving quickly anyway.
You say what you mean. You're direct, but you lead with respect.
You connect dots across functions and hold the big picture without losing grip on the details.
